What To Expect
What can I expect on a Sunday morning?
You'll first encounter a friendly face at the door welcoming you to church. Once inside the foyer, you are welcome to swing by The Porch Coffee Shop & Bookstore.
You'll find friendly people, great music, an opportunity to pray with a pastor or prayer team member, a time of teaching, and the opportunity to receive communion along with the rest of the church.
What do I wear to a weekend service?
We care about you, not what you wear, but most people dress casually.
What should I do with my kids when I come to Word of Life?
Check out The Path, our ministry for families with children. Word of Life Kids is our children’s program led and staffed by people who are ready to welcome and care for every kid who walks through the doors. In fun, dynamic and age-appropriate ways, they will lovingly teach your child that God loves them and help them understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We offer Word of Life Kids for birth through 5th grade during our weekend services.*
I have a student in middle school or high school. What do you offer for them?
First, bring them with you to a regular service on the weekend. They will not want to miss 678, our gathering for middle school students, on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., or MYC Youth- our weekly gathering for high school students on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.*
Do you provide transportation to church?
Yes. We have limited seating on our church bus and we can provide transportation to those living in St. Joe. To receive more information about transportation, please contact the church office at 816-233-6367.
*Family Sunday is the first Sunday of every month when 1st-8th Grade kids join their families in our main worship service.
